With a mid-cycle update the BMW 6-Series is ready to come. Even the changes are barely noticeable the 2016 BMW M6 has many new interesting things to offer.
Exterior and interior redesign
With tasteful and aggressive design and extraordinary performance the new 2016 BMW M5 is ready to hit the showroom floors next spring. This remarkable vehicle will be offered as a coupe or convertible. Both of these two forms weight in at around 2 tons. The coupe is 250 pounds lighter. Like we have already said, the company has changed almost nothing about the design of the famous M6. The 2016 BMW M6 will keep its jet-styled central front air intake as well as aerodynamic elements. The only thing that has been changed are the headlights. The headlights have been powered with full-LED illumination. Also, the turn-signal elements have been moved from the bottom to the top. As far as the interior of the new M6 is concerned, there are a few new colors and trim options. Like the cabin of its predecessor, the new model’s cabin will be made of the highest quality materials and equipped with the latest technology features. This time the infotainment system offers a lap timer app and an integrated GoPro video camera.
2016 BMW M6 powertrain
Under the hood of this beast we will find a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine. With RWD system this powerful engine is capable to deliver 552 horsepower and 502 lb-ft of torque. A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with shift paddles will stay, and a traditional six-speed manual comes available as no-cost option. This powerful engine accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds. How the 2016 BMW M6 coupe is roughly 250 pounds lighter than the convertible, we expect to see it and faster too. For both versions fuel economy is 16 mpg combined with the automatic transmission and 17 mpg with the manual transmission.
Release date and price
