At the 2015 Detroit Auto Show Ford has finally revealed its stunning supercar, the powerful 2016 Ford GT. Just like every new model, the new Ford GT has suffered both exterior and interior changes in order to improve its performances and body look. Ford’s engineers have improved its aerodynamic efficiency by crafting every surface to manage flow. However, there are still some active components like a rear spoiler which improves handling and braking. In order to give the new GT even more slipperiness windscreen has been curved too. To improve efficiency, engineers have used lightweight materials including carbon fiber and aluminum.On the front end of the vehicle headlights have been united and powered with the latest LED technology. The grille is now wider as well as the tires. On the rear part we will see new rounded and bigger taillights. All these exterior changes will make this supercar look even more aggressive and muscular than before. If we take a look inside the cabin, we won’t find many common characteristics with other Ford’s spotr cars. It will come with a unique power steering and a modern dashboard . Interior of the new GT has been equipped with the latest standard and safety technology features like New Navigation system, Google Map, larger LCD, rarview camera, new audio system and many more. The steering wheel is Formula 1 inspired.
The new 2016 Ford GT shares the same engine architecture found in the IMSA Daytona prototype endurance racer. This new performance coupe under the hood is powered with a ultra-efficient 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged Ecoboost 6-cylinder engine. Ford claims how this power unit is capable to produce more than 600 horsepower. This powerful EcoBoost engine comes paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Pricing and release date
According to the sources the new 2016 Ford GT will hit the market in late 2016. The new GT is expected to cost around $400,000.
