The remarkable 2016 Porsche Boxster Spyder is finally back. It represents the second-generation of this model and it is the most powerful Boxster ever made.
Exerior and interior design
The first Boxster Spyder was firs launched in 2011. New model, the 2016 Porsche Boxster Spyder is coming with some interesting changes when compared with the original Boxster. New model has come with reduced weight. It is 66 pounds lighter than its predecessor Boxster GTS. Its 49.7 inches high, 173.4 inches long and its width without mirrors is 70.9 inch. Its wheelbase is 97.4 inches long. New Spyder comes with new large air intakes, black Bi-Xenon headlights and the SportDesign exterior mirrors. Also there are also and new 20-inch specially designed wheels. At the rear part of the vehicle we will be able to see two powerful bulges and the distinctive rear spoiler. New model has also got and much more practical roof which can be driven at top speed. Interior of the new 2016 Boxster Spyder has a quite clear design. Main color inside the cabin is black. Inside the new Boxster we will be also able to see reduced-in-diameter steering wheel and new faux suede seat covers as standard (you can upgrade to leather if you want). This type of steering wheel is a typical feature of racing cars. Full Bucket Seats are optional and those are equipped with an electric height adjustment. For even bigger comfort the new Boxster offers and Sport Seat plus with electric backrest adjustment.
2016 Porsche Boxster Spyder powertrain
Under the hood of the powerful 2016 Porsche Boxster Spyder we can find a 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine. This power unit can deliver 375 horsepower and 309 lb.-ft. of torque. It is also capable to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds. Its top speed is set to 180 mph. New Boxster is equipped with sport exhaust system which provides just perfect sound at the press of a button. Engine is matted to a six-speed manual transmission.
Release date and price
The new 2016 Porsche Boxster Spyder will hit the U.S. market this month. Its MRSP is set to $82,100.
