Redesigned and improved, the new 2016 Toyota RAV4 is expected to hit the showroom floors very soon. This new car is bringing some interesting changes.
Exterior and interior changes
Almost every segment of this great vehicle will suffer some changes. If we compare it with the previous generations, these changes will be most visible than ever. 2016 Toyota RAV4 will be available as a Hybrid and as a new RAV4 SE model (the sportiest in the lineup). The new RAV4 Hybrid will be offered in two premium trim levels: XLE and Limited. As far as the exterior of the new 2016 Toyota RAV4 is concerned, redesign will affect booth front and rear end of the vehicle. On the front end of the car we will see new redesigned front grille and new shape of headlights powered with the latest LED technology. Same case will happen with the rear part of the vehicle. There we will also see new and redesigned taillights. The new Toyota RAV4 will be equipped with new 17-inch alloy wheels (the SE model comes with 18-inch alloy wheels). On the sides we will see new manually and power operated side mirrors. When we are talking about interior of the new RAV4 we could describe it in just two words: luxury and comfort. This time Toyota spent most of its effort updating the interior of the car. Engineers have used just high quality materials like leather and soft plastics to improve this already great interior. There will be plenty of space for all five passengers and some new options like front seats heating will be available too. Some other available features inside this vehicle will also be and: emergency brake assist, new airbags, rear camera view, traction control, stability control, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning and many more.
2016 Toyota RAV4 Powertrain
Under the hood of the new 2016 Toyota RAV4 we will find only two powertrains. The base one is a four-cylinder engine which produces 176 horsepower and which is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The second one, the RAV4 Hybrid will get the same powertrain as Lexus NX 300h. We are talking about Toyota’s two-motor Hybrid Synergy Drive system.
