2017 HYUNDAI ELANTRA – RELEASE DATE, REDESIGN

Once again, South Korean car manufacturer is going to surprise us all with redesign of one of their most popular models. It’s the new 2017 Hyundai Elantra.

EXTIRIROR AND INTIRIOR CHANGES

The previous Elantra was one of the cars that announced a new generation of stylish Hyundai. It’s more attractive than the 2016 version. The sixth-generation model feels a bit vanilla. With about an inch more in overall length and width, the new 2017 Hyundai Elantra improves slightly on the current model’s already generous interior space. When we look at the new 2017 Hyundai Elantra we see that it exudes sophisticated elegance appearance. The front grille has a strict look that makes this car looks serious. Boomerang-shaped LED running lights brighten the front-end treatment. What we can see is that it’s built along horizontal themes, with a large space reserved simple dash for a touchscreen, slightly canted toward the driver. The criteria incorporate a special 4.2-inch LCD screen on some models for auxiliary functions such as audio and navigation. 2017 Hyundai Elantra secondary functions such as climate control and audio are controlled with knobs and keys, thank goodness, and the cockpit wears a mix of soft-touch plastics and metallic finishes just as in the Sonata, offset by a fair amount of hard black plastic. The seats of the new 2017 Hyundai Elantra are leather and further increase the elegance of this beautiful vehicle.

2017 HYUNDAI ELANTRA ENGINE

Under the hood of the new 2017 Hyundai Elantra the 2.0-liter Nu engine will be joined by a 1.4-liter turbocharged Kappa. The Elantra Eco model will mate the smaller turbocharged engine to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, a combo that should achieve 40-plus mpg on the highway and about 35 mpg combined. The 1.4T will make just 128 horsepower but also and 156 pound-feet of torque, that’s more than the 2.0-liter, so it should still scoot around pretty well.
