2018 Buick Encore-Design,Specs,Release Date

2018 Buick Encore is going to come with a lot of new improvements. Expect to see several changes to both the exterior and the interior.

We are probably not going to see to many changes when it comes to the new 2018 Buick Encore. This vehicle already underwent a major redesign, and it is unlikely that it is going to get another one soon. For the 2018 update, you can expect to see a standard treatment of the exterior. This means that the grille is going to get redesigned, making it larger and bulkier. It is still going to wear the Buick badge on the center. The headlights and the taillights are also probably going to get an update as well. They are going to utilize the latest LED technology. No matter what they do, the exterior is going to remain rugged and aggressive, which is exactly what this off-road vehicle is going for. GM Gamma II platform is going to underpin the latest Buick Encore. This lightweight platform will reduce the weight of the vehicle, and in doing so, improve the fuel efficiency. There will also be 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels.

There are going to be quite a number of improvements on the inside of the vehicle as well. The cabin is going to be as spacious and comfortable as ever. The seats are going to be covered in the finest leather. Also, expect to see a number of technological improvements as well. The central position on the dashboard will be dominated by a 4.2-inches touchscreen with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Also, expect to see the latest OnStar 4G LTE WiFi hotspot. Aside from that, you can expect the new model to have Bluetooth and USB connectivity, satellite radio and a navigation system. Heated steering wheels and seats haven’t yet been confirmed. There is also going to be a range of safety features included in the latest model, but there will be more words about that later on.

There are several different engines that might make the final cut. There are also the engines from the previous model, these usually find their way to the new model as well. We expect to see a 1.4-liter turbocharged unit that can output 115 horsepower and 125 lb-ft of torque. This engine consumes 25 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway. It will come paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, and the standard front-wheel drive. The smart all-wheel drive system will be optional.

These safety features haven’t been confirmed yet, but we believe there will be Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning and Blind Spot Monitoring. The IIHS results for the new model are good, especially in case of a side impact.

Expect to see the full unveiling of the model in the middle of 2017, meaning that sales can commence shortly after, or near the end of 2017. Base price should not linger far from the $24.000 mark.
