2018 Dodge Ram-Design,Review,Release Date

2018 Dodge Ram is going for a minor refresh of style. Larger, more detailed revision of the exterior and the interior is planned for 2020.

One of the most famous pickup trucks is about to get a minor update. The style of the body is going to get several updates here and there, and a little more than a refreshment. This is because there are some larger plans in the works for 2020, and that is when you should expect a complete overhaul. For now, we are most likely going to see an updated version of the grille, as well as the bumpers. This vehicle already looks brutish, and they are going to make it look even more aggressive. Aside from the regular cab body, they are also likely to introduce the extended crew cab chassis.

The inside of the new 2018 Dodge Ram is going to be more spacious than ever. Expect a lot of room, and an updated design of the interior. This means that the dashboard is going to look far more cleaner without all the clutter. The seats are going to be covered in some high-grade natural leather. There is also going to be quite a lot of fine carpentry on the sides, and some careful detailing. There are also going to be large improvements to the equipment of the vehicle. Expect features such as 8.4-inch touchscreen UConnect infotainment system.

Considering that we are looking at a heavy duty vehicle, the engine options will have to reflect this purpose. One of the more powerful engines available to the new Dodge Ram is the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 engine. There is a lot of skepticism in the US when it comes to diesel engines, and the Volkswagen diesel scandal

hasn’t made the situation any easier for diesel. But, Dodge is wise and it knows where the true torque power lies. This engine can output 254 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque. This is exactly what a towing truck needs, and petrol engines cannot match this torque. This engine consumes 22 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. There are also rumors of a plug-in hybrid.

Who really cares about safety when sitting in such a powerful towing truck? Despite the admirable size, this vehicle has quite a lot to offer in terms of safety features. Expect to see the all-wheel drive Anti-Lock Disk Brakes, Electronic Stability Program, Side Airbags, Emergency Braking System and plenty of others.

Expect to see the new Dodge Ram reach the showrooms late in 2017, maybe even early 2018 if they postpone it. The price of the base model is going to stay close to $30.100, while some of the better trims might cost up to $53.300.
